Body Pump's Philosophy

Body Pump Inc. was created in 1997 to help individuals understand and benefit from a balance of exercise, nutrition, and total well-being.

We believe that a successful path to a healthy lifestyle cannot be achieved without combining both physical and nutritional conditioning into our daily lives. In a world of quick fixes, yoyo dieting, and trendy equipment gimmicks, we believe that true healthly lifestyle is a marriage of fitness, nutrition, and well-being.

What is Your Fitness Philosophy?

The fact that you’re here at the Body Pump website means that you’re looking for answers. So, what is your fitness philosophy? Do you believe that fitness is something that is squeezed into a jam-packed day? Or, do you believe that you’re worth setting aside some time every day to pursue a great sense of well-being?

Many of us spend hours in our cars every week commuting to work, we have responsibilities with our kids, and there’s always an e-mail to get out, a text to return, or a phone call to make. In this wired and totally-connected world, we’re moving so fast that working out feels like another thing we have to do. And so often, we forget to get ourselves a spot on the list. Isn’t it time to put yourself first? If you don’t make time and space to create a healthy lifestyle, then you’re not going to be any good to the people counting on you.

If you don’t create the space in your life to pursue fitness now, then you’ll probably find that later in life you’ll start developing those aches and pains your parents complain about—maybe you already have. You’ll have less energy to enjoy the life you worked so hard to create. To live well in the future, we have to consider fitness today.

But you can be just as unhealthy if you are running into the gym, pounding out a routine, and then, tearing off for home while chattering with work colleagues on your cell phone. We believe that physical well-being is a three-pronged approach—mind, body, and spirit. Yes, it’s become a bit of a cliché, but it’s absolutely true. It’s the foundation for living your best life. We need to feed our bodies good, nourishing, unprocessed foods so that our workouts can create strong and powerful bodies. Carving out some personal time to work on our bodies helps to alleviate stress and challenge ourselves in new ways — and that’s nourishing the spirit!

So those two or three one-hour sessions you spend with your trainer at Body Pump continues to benefit you all week.

Take some time today to evaluate your own personal fitness philosophy. What can you do today to start moving towards a great sense of well-being. Give us a call, we can help you get started down the right path, or download our questionnaire.
